The Republic of Albania is a small Balkan country with a population that is 70% Muslim, 20% Orthodox and 10% Catholic . Many of its citizens fled to Italy and Greece during the recent collapse of communism. Although Albania is undergoing economic reform, the residents are vulnerable, and a weak, unstable economy creates financial hardships.
