The Marian Wright Edelman Institute

The Marian Wright Edelman Institute for the Study of Children, Youth and Families at San Francisco State University supports WiRED's programs to improve the quality of life for children and youth in developing regions. The Institute brings together its best scholars and students to address the ever-changing needs for children, youth and families. Today, the Institute continues to serve as a powerful tool of outreach, advocacy, and research.

The Polus Foundation

The Polus Center for Social & Economic Development, Inc. strives to create opportunities for persons with disabilities and members of other vulnerable groups to become valued citizens within their communities. The Polus Center is a non-profit umbrella organization that designs and implements community-based programs in the United States and throughout the developing world.

KUAP Pandipieri

KUAP is a leading humanitarian organization dedicated to fighting poverty and social injustice. The organization places special emphasis on investing in children, youth, women and other vulnerable members of the community. KUAP Pandipieri is a Kenyan non governmental organization (NGO) providing community health, children services and education programs to the most vulnerable communities of Kisumu, Western Kenya. KAUP Pandipieri also hosts WiRED's "Sheldon and Faye Cohen Center for Community Health Information."

World Heart Federation

The World Heart Federation is a nongovernmental organization committed to uniting its members and leads the global fight against heart disease and stroke, with a focus on low-and middle-income countries. The World Heart Federation is a united community of almost 200 member organizations that bring together the strength of medical societies and heart foundations, from more than 100 countries.

The Blum-Kovler Foundation

The foundation has a keen interest in health information among disenfranchised populations. It contributes to WiRED's community health information programs in Africa, providing populations in the poorest regions with information about HIV/AIDS and a wide variety of other health issues.

 

The Medtronic Foundation

The foundation's mission is to improve the health of people and communities by focusing resources in areas where they can make unique and positive contributions. In the years immediately after the end of hostilities in the Balkans, the Medtronic Foundation generously supported WiRED's Educational programs for physicians. Currently, the Medtronic Foundation is supporting WiRED's programs to educate people in developing regions about Rheumatic Heart Disease. It also is assisting with WiRED's echocardiogram training program.

Rotary Club of Ann Arbor, Michigan

The generous donation of the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor, in partnership with the Rotary Foundation, has contributed to the installation of WiRED's Community Health Information program in Santa Maria De Nieva, Peru. This project will serve many thousands of people in the Amazon headwaters.

The Tatjana Grgich Family Foundation

The Tatjana Grgich Family Foundation is dedicated to projects, programs, and services that assist youth from strife-torn areas of the world. Based in California's Sonoma Valley, the foundation supports local and national charitable organizations that provide educational, medical, and spiritual sustenance to families and individuals. Tatjana Grgich, president, serves as a member of WiRED's Board of Directors.

A Web services provider that has been in business since the beginning of the World Wide Web. They were early innovators in implementing clustering technology across all hosting accounts.
